Analog clock

When the minute hand is at 12, read the time as o'clock of the number at hour hand. When the minute hand is at 6, it is half past the hour of the number just behind hour hand.


The shorter hand shows the hour reading. The longer hand shows minutes.

Here, time shown is half past 9, or 9:30.

The colon separates the hour from the minutes.

The first set of numbers represents the hour. The second set of numbers represents the minutes.
